Your new best friend is closer than you think!

Welcome to Cougar Pets! We are a local animal rescue group housed on the Central Carolina Community College campus. As part of the Veterinary Medical Technology program, our animals help teach veterinary technician students essential skills that will help future animals.

Please note that since we are regulated by the USDA, we are unable to accept owner surrenders from the general public. We are required to obtain our animals from a shelter.

All of our animals are rescued from shelters, and all are adoptable. In addition, they are up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered, and micro-chipped. Click on the cat or dog below to get started!

Come, Sit, Stay!

My name is Pasadena. I am a sweet girl who loves to play! I would make a great hiking companion as I love to explore, and I even make a great running buddy! I can be a little dog selective at times but I love all people!

Do you see a pet you like, but want to meet them first? Make an appointment with our staff and we will set up a Meet and Greet session!

Meet and Greet sessions are by appointment only.

Hi! My name is Goose. I am a tall and lean talking machine! As soon as I see you, I will be "cat calling" you for some attention and love. I have a BIG personality and enjoy cuddles and playtime. Sometimes I can be a little rowdy, but that is because I am a growing guy! I can't wait to see how well I will fit in with my new family!

Goose is currently available for adoption!
