Your new best friend is closer than you think!
Welcome to Cougar Pets! We are a local animal rescue group housed on the Central Carolina Community College campus. As part of the Veterinary Medical Technology program, our animals help teach veterinary technician students essential skills that will help future animals.
All of our animals are rescued from shelters, and all are adoptable. In addition, they are up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered, and micro-chipped. Click on the cat or dog below to get started!

Cougar Pet Spotlight
Come, Sit, Stay!
My name is Statler! I am a 4 year old Labrador mix! I love to run, play,
and cuddle with my hooman
friends, but tend to
be picky about my canine
friends! I would love set
up a meet-and-greet to show you
just how fun I am!
Do you see a pet you like, but want to meet them first? Make an appointment with our staff and we will set up a Meet and Greet session!
My name is Lois. I am a playful, 4 year old female that is looking for my furever home. I have a lot of fun running after treats and playing in cardboard boxes! I would do best as an only pet. I would love to find my furever human!
NOTE: As a USDA regulated facility, we are closed to the general public and non-colony animals. Meet and Greet sessions are by appointment only! While we love all animals, we request that only people attend Meet and Greet sessions.
