Welcome to Cougar Pets! We are a local animal rescue group housed on the Central Carolina Community College campus. As part of the Veterinary Medical Technology program, our animals help teach veterinary technician students essential skills that will help future animals.
All of our animals are rescued from shelters, and all are adoptable. In addition, they are up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered, and micro-chipped. Click on the cat or dog below to get started!

Rats and Rabbits, Oh My!
Are you looking for an alternate animal to a dog or a cat? Each Summer we have Rats and Rabbits available for adoption! All rodent adoptions are first-come, first-serve and there is no fee associated with the adoption. The rats and rabbits will be ready to go home around the middle of June.
Snowball is a 3 year old, neutered male, White New Zealand Rabbit. Batman is a 3 year old, male, Black Mini Rex Rabbit.
We have male and female Sprague Dawley Rats that were born in April. Typically these furry friends do better in pairs and live around 2-4 years.
If you or someone you know would like to "reserve" any of these cuties, please email info@cougarpets.org or fill out a contact form below!

Cougar Pet Spotlight
Come, Sit, Stay!
Do you see a pet you like, but want to meet them first? Make an appointment with our staff and we will set up a Meet and Greet session!
Meet and Greet sessions are by appointment only.
My name is Geneva. Have you ever wondered how a lanky dog runs? Well come meet me and find out! I am a super silly girl who loves to play and dance. I really enjoy walks and I do great on a leash. I am learning that new friends always bring treats!
Hi! My name is Goose. I am a tall and lean talking machine! As soon as I see you, I will be "cat calling" you for some attention and love. I have a BIG personality and enjoy cuddles and playtime. Sometimes I can be a little rowdy, but that is because I am a growing guy! I can't wait to see how well I will fit in with my new family!
Goose is currently available for adoption!

NOTE: As a USDA regulated facility, we are closed to the general public and non-colony animals. Meet and Greet sessions are by appointment only! While we love all animals, we request that only people attend Meet and Greet sessions.
