Welcome to Cougar Pets! We are a local animal rescue group housed on the Central Carolina Community College campus. As part of the Veterinary Medical Technology program, our animals help teach veterinary technician students essential skills that will help future animals.
All of our animals are rescued from shelters, and all are adoptable. In addition, they are up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered, and micro-chipped. Click on the cat or dog below to get started!

Cougar Pet Spotlight
Come, Sit, Stay!
Do you see a pet you like, but want to meet them first? Make an appointment with our staff and we will set up a Meet and Greet session!
My name is Buzz. I am a 2-year-old male that loves to play and get treats! I am a super smart boy and a quick learner. I have a hard time making friends with animals, but I am very loyal to my human companions. I can be a little hesitant when meeting new people, but that is nothing a treat cannot fix!
My name is Ellen! I am a 6 year old female tabby cat. I am a very social cat who LOVES affection from my human companions. I am very flirty and love to talk to you. Don't worry, I can show you exactly where the food and treats are located!

NOTE: As a USDA regulated facility, we are closed to the general public and non-colony animals. Meet and Greet sessions are by appointment only! While we love all animals, we request that only people attend Meet and Greet sessions.
